William Galtney is CEO of Galtney Group, a family office in Houston, TX. He is also CEO of Galtney Capital, a private equity company with lead investments in the lower middle market. Galtney is a founding/lead director of NYSE Everest Reinsurance Company. In 2021 Everest was the sixth largest reinsurer in the world with revenues in excess of $13 billion. He has or is currently serving as a director/trustee of the Greater Houston Community Foundation, Greater Houston Partnership, Memorial Hermann Hospital System, Houston Baseball Partners, LLC (minority owner of Houston Astros baseball team), University of Mississippi Alumni Association, University of Mississippi Foundation, past Chairman of the Houston Chapter of the Young Presidents Organization and Episcopal High School. Galtney received a B.A. and a M.P.A. from the University of Mississippi where he was a member of the varsity tennis team. He is a member of the University of Mississippi Alumni Hall of Fame.
